Privileges of ERDA Members (Annual and Life Members)
 
(Ordinary Members with Annual Subscription)
 
1 Active participation in the formulation of policies and steering of ERDA activities to    industrial needs by getting elected to the Managing Committee. Every year six of the oldest members in the committee retire and six new members are elected.
2 Concession in Test Charges for tests conducted at ERDA Laboratory

 Note:
I.   Every year to get Discount on Turnover, Member will submit Annual Audited Accounts before 31st May.
II. Subscription to ERDA qualifies as business expenditure under section 37 of Income Tax Act 1971.
III. ERDA is notified as R&D Institute under Section 35 (I) (II) of Income Tax Act 1961. Contribution paid to ERDA for R&D activities are exempted from Income up to 175% of the contribution for R&D by any member.
3 Participate in Training Courses/ Workshops / Seminar etc. at concessional rate.
4 Free access to the Documentation Centre library for technical reference work.
5 Free supply of one copy of awareness service titled “Abstracts of current technical literature in Electrical Engineering” – A quarterly
6 Free supply of `ERDA News’ – a quarterly
7 Borrowing of library books – 2 at a time for a period of 15 days
8 Telephonic / Postal enquiries on technical reports, conference proceedings and books etc.
9 Information regarding announcement / brochures regarding Seminars/ Workshops / Training Courses etc. organized by ERDA

10 Lifetime member is eligible to nominate a person for contract research at ERDA at their cost.
 

* Members who have completed 5 years as ERDA ordinary member and wish to become lifetime member.
