TWO DAY TRAINING COURSE ON CONDITION MONITORING AND LIFE ASSESSMENT OF POWER TRANSFORMERS ON 17-18 November 2008
The reliability and safe operation of power and instrument transformer is of utmost importance for the uninterrupted power supply in the transmission / distribution network. These equipments need continuous monitoring of its condition (health) to avoid any unexpected or premature breakdown. Now a days various techniques and instruments are used for the offline and online condition assessment of transformers.
ERDA is organising a two days training course on “Condition Monitoring and Life Assessment of Power Transformers” on 17th – 18th November 2008 to impart knowledge on latest techniques employed for condition monitoring and to share its experience.
· Insulating liquids – Importance and its manufacturing aspects
· Dissolved Gas Analysis
· Conventional and special tests on transformers for condition assessment
· Interpretation of test results
· Condition monitoring of transformer oil
· Life assessment of transformers
Power Engineers with 2-3 years of work experience engaged in operation, maintenance, testing, R&D etc,, working in utility / industries will find the course highly beneficial.

Non Members – Rs. 4000/- per person
Service tax – At prevailing rates. The present rate is 12.36%.
Participants have to make their own arrangements for accommodation and conveyance.
