VIBRATION TESTING AND CONDITION MONITORING OF ROTATING MACHINES

on 26th – 27th August 2008

Introduction

Reliable functioning of Rotating Equipment (Turbines, Generators, Motors, Blowers, Fans, Pumps etc.,) is of vital importance and any malfunctioning or failure is not only disastrous to the equipment concerned, but also adversely affects industrial output with detrimental economic impact. Thus it is of utmost importance that reliable and safe functioning of rotating equipment be ensured.  A number of sophisticated techniques and tools have been developed over the years to monitor the health of rotating equipment on a continuous basis not only to ensure reliable functioning but also to take remedial measures for safety of the equipment. ERDA has vast experience and expertise in this area.

This Training Course has been designed to appraise operations personnel of power and process plants about the latest developments in condition monitoring of rotating equipment using advanced diagnostics based on measurement of various electrical and mechanical parameters.
