ONE DAY TRAINING COURSE ON CALIBRATION OF HIGH VOLTAGE PARAMETERS On 17th  September 2008

Introduction 

Power supply network is growing in the country. High voltage   power equipment are added to the transmission, distribution and generation segments of the power system. The testing and energy metering system need high voltage measurements and its calibration with increased accuracy levels. Creating awareness about calibration and training engineers in this area is as essential as adding equipment.  ERDA has been providing high voltage testing and   calibration services to industry and utilities for last more than two decades.  

In view of this, a one-day training course has been designed to  educate the  testing engineers in high voltage  area  about  HV AC, HVDC and  HV Impulse  voltage measurements and calibration  of  equipments  and  systems. The course will cover requirement of standards, NABL norms and practical aspects of HV calibration.  

Course content: 

·       HV AC Calibration

·       HV DC Calibration

·       HV Lightning Impulse Voltage Calibration

·       Accuracy requirement of measurements

·       Calculation of uncertainty in measurements 

·       Laboratory and site calibration requirements as per NABL norms. 

Who will benefit : 

Engineers with 3 – 5 years experience in high voltage testing and calibration activity in industry as well as utilities.    

Faculty :  

Highly experienced engineers from ERDA. 

Course Fee 

ERDA Members –  Rs. 2000/- per participant
Non Members      – Rs. 2500/- per participant
Service tax – At prevailing rates. The present rate is 12.36%. 

Participants have to make their own arrangement for accommodation and conveyance.
