ERDA obtains BIS Recognition for enhanced scope of IS/IEC 60947 Standard for Low Voltage Switchgear & Control Gear

ERDA proudly announces the inclusion of key standards in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recognition, marking a significant milestone for the organization. The newly recognized standards include:
- IS/IEC 60947: Part 3, covering switches, disconnectors, switch-disconnectors, and fuse-combination units.
- IS/IEC 60947: Part 4, Section 1, focusing on electromechanical contactors and motor starters
- IS/IEC 60947: Part 5, Section 1, covering Control circuit devices and switching elements
With IS/IEC 60947-2:2016 already in place and with addition of above 3 no. latest standards, ERDA is now authorized to conduct mandatory testing of electrical equipment in accordance with these updated standards to meet requirement of EEQCO for LV Switchgear and Control gear. With these accreditations in place, ERDA is now positioned to offer enhanced testing services that comply with the latest standard requirement.
